S Class W140 500SEC Problems, Faults and Recalls
- R/1996/072 - Possible Loss Of Brake Vacuum Assistance - In a small number of cases leaks may occur in the vacuum line between the engine and the power brake unit. This would result in a need for increased brake pedal pressure when braking.
- R/1997/025 - Possible Loss Of Brake Fluid - There may be insufficient clearance between the front brake hoses and the tyre inner wall. In the long term this could result in damage to the brake hose(s) with a risk of fluid loss.
